The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Addboye, has said that coronavirus which caused the world lockdown won’t disappear completely.

Rather, he said it will take a special miracle from God for it to leave the world completely, while assuring that many people will be grateful to God after this lockdown, because good things will come out of it.

The world renowned gospeller said that just like flu, cholera and Ebola, coronavirus pandemic would subside, but it won’t leave the world completely.

Speaking during his Sunday ministration, through a telecast on Dove television in his message entitled: “Seven ways to deal with a mountain,” Pastor Adeboye said: “The good thing is that by the special grace of God, those of you listening to me now, by the time we finish, you would come out at the other end of the mountain. When you come out, I hope you will not forget to sing praises to the Lord.”

“The mountain may be there but you are not climbing and you are not blasting it out; you are just flying.

“There are quite a lot of good things that will come out of this lockdown. Many people at the end of the lockdown would be grateful for it. People who had not had time to spend with their wives and children are now locked down together. Thank God for compulsory holiday.”

He said, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the Holy Bible, “There are certain situations and problems that you must burrow your way through. I am not just talking about coronavirus, I am talking of some situations in your life that you just have to burrow your way through the mountain.

On how someone can burrow his or her way through, Pastor Adeboye said: “You must trust God; remember God’s mercy and faithfulness; believe God and His prophets. You will come out of this problem safe and sound. Of course, you must take a step of faith. You must give your life to Jesus Christ.

“You must trust God, the Father, the Maker of heaven, and the earth. Trust the One who was before the mountain; remember God’s mercy and his faithfulness; and believe God and His prophets.”

The clergy man also reassured that by the grace of God, as many as were children of God indeed would be exempted from calamity associated with COVID-19.

He stressed that there was no challenge that men passed through that was strange to God, saying even though he was not a prophet but a pastor, God told him at the beginning of the year, the world would be like a child in convulsion.

“God has told me that his children who worship him in truth and would be exempted from calamity associated with the pandemic.

“I told you that this year, the world will behave like a child in convulsion. I told you at the beginning of the year, even though I am not a prophet, but a pastor. You will come out of this problem safe and sound, but you must take the step of faith.”

Pastor Adeboye also assured that good things could come out of the pandemic, such that this lockdown period had availed some families the opportunities of being united and had bonded together.

“Some people who did not have time for their families would now bond and have better relationships with their families. God can help you to fly over the challenges brought by the pandemic. All you need do is trust in God,” Pastor Adeboye said.
