COVID-19: Over 3.9 million cases confirmed in 187 countries plus at least 275,000 deaths globally

The highly infectious coronavirus disease, also known as COVID-19, whose first case was reported late December, 2019 in Wuhan, China, has spread around the planet, to over 187 countries and territories globally.

The increasing surge in COVID-19 infection figures and deaths has created global fears which has equally sent billions of people into lockdown as health services struggle to cope treatment and curb the disease spread.

Now, according to different trackers monitoring daily cases of infections and deaths, at least 275,000 people are reported dead from COVID-19, while over 3.9 million infections have been confirmed in at least, 187 countries and territories.

However, over 1.3 million people who had contacted the deadly disease recovered to date.
