A devoted teacher of the Word of GOD, Pastor Tunde Jaiyebo, has charged Christians to move beyond mere wishes and make deliberate demands in faith to experience the much more GOD has made available to them.
Jaiyebo, the Senior Pastor of Charis Family International Church, delivered the message on Thursday, October 8, during Day One of Biazo 2026, held at the church headquarters along Cultural Centre Road, Mokola, Ibadan.
Speaking on the theme, Much more, drawn from Ephesians 3:20, the cleric emphasised the need for believers to recognise, understand and activate the power of GOD in their lives to experience increase in their finances, ministries, businesses, marriages and communities.
“Don’t underestimate the fact that life doesn’t answer to your wishes. It answers to those who make a demand,” he said.
According to him, GOD desires that His children experience more than their present circumstances, but they must develop the spiritual understanding and intentionality required to access what He has made available.
He explained that the power to experience much more comes through a relationship with GOD, stressing that believers must move beyond simply knowing about Him to developing a conscious understanding of His nature and power.
Citing Psalm 78:41, Jaiyebo warned against limiting GOD, using the experience of the children of Israel as a caution against allowing unbelief and a limited understanding of His ability to restrict what He can accomplish in their lives.
He urged participants to recognise that GOD’s capacity is not defined by human limitations, circumstances or expectations.
The pastor explained GOD’s attributes through His omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence, describing them as essential dimensions of understanding His nature.

Referencing Psalm 139:7 to 10, he highlighted GOD’s omnipresence, explaining that His presence is not restricted by geographical boundaries or physical circumstances.
He further cited Jeremiah 23:23 to 24, which emphasises that GOD is neither distant nor confined to a particular location, urging believers to understand the reality of His ever present presence.
On GOD’s omnipotence, Jaiyebo referenced Jeremiah 32:17, which declares that nothing is too difficult for Him. He also cited Jeremiah 32:27, emphasising GOD’s sovereignty over all creation and His ability to accomplish what appears impossible to human beings.
He explained that this understanding should influence how Christians approach challenges in their businesses, ministries, marriages and other areas of life, encouraging them to trust GOD’s ability rather than be overwhelmed by their circumstances.
Jaiyebo stressed that believers must recognise that the power of GOD is at work within them, providing the basis for fulfilling divine purposes and experiencing much more than their present realities.
Drawing from Ephesians 1:16 to 20, he highlighted the importance of spiritual understanding, particularly the exceeding greatness of GOD’s power towards those who believe.
He pointed to the resurrection power of JESUS CHRIST as evidence of the extraordinary power available to believers, urging them to develop a deeper understanding of their spiritual inheritance and GOD’s expectations for their lives.

According to him, Christians must cultivate high hopes and aspirations, understanding that their dreams and purposes should be pursued with an awareness of the power and resources available through their relationship with GOD.
Salvation and spiritual consciousness
Addressing how believers could activate, release and operate the power of GOD in them to experience much more, Jaiyebo identified salvation as the foundation.
Referencing Romans 8:11, he explained that the SPIRIT of GOD dwells in believers and gives life, while 1 Corinthians 3:16 and 1 Corinthians 6:19 affirm that they are temples of GOD and that His SPIRIT lives in them.
He also cited 1 John 4:4, encouraging Christians to recognise the presence of GOD within them and understand that they are not ordinary people in their spiritual identity.
With reference to Acts 1:8, he emphasised the empowering work of the HOLY SPIRIT, urging participants to become conscious of the spiritual power available to them rather than remain unaware of what they carry.
The pastor explained that believers must deliberately cultivate an awareness of three important dimensions of their identity, namely who they are, what they have and whose they are.

He described these as their identity, resources and connections, stressing that a conscious understanding of these dimensions is necessary to fulfil their GOD given dreams and purposes.
Citing 1 John 5:4, Jaiyebo reminded participants that faith is central to overcoming the world and encouraged them to approach their lives with an understanding of their position in GOD.
He outlined knowledge, meditation, the fear of GOD and confession as practical ways to develop this consciousness.
On knowledge, he explained that believers must understand what the Word of GOD says about their identity, inheritance and spiritual resources.
On meditation, he referenced Joshua 1:8, which instructs believers to meditate on the Word of GOD, encouraging them to think deeply about Scripture and continually reflect on their relationship with Him.
He clarified that the fear of GOD does not mean being afraid of Him, but maintaining a conscious reverence for His presence and authority.
He also emphasised confession as a means of expressing one’s understanding and conviction about GOD’s Word, adding that regular fellowship and church attendance should strengthen believers’ awareness of GOD’s abiding presence.
Desire, faith and the power of prayer
Jaiyebo further stressed the need for believers to develop a genuine desire to operate in the power of GOD, distinguishing desire from mere wishes.
He described desire as a strong urge that should produce purposeful action, while a wish remains passive when it is not accompanied by deliberate pursuit.
According to him, pursuit is evidence of genuine desire, and such pursuit must be guided by the Word of GOD and activated by faith.
He encouraged participants to desire a deeper experience of GOD’s reality, explaining that their aspirations must be rooted in His Word and strengthened by the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.
The pastor also discussed the place of speaking in tongues in spiritual development, citing 1 Corinthians 14:4 to explain how speaking in tongues builds up the individual believer.
Referencing Romans 8:26 to 28, he highlighted the role of the HOLY SPIRIT in helping believers in their weaknesses and interceding according to the will of GOD.
He further cited 1 Corinthians 2:9 to 13, drawing attention to the things GOD has prepared for those who love Him and the role of the SPIRIT in revealing the things of GOD.
Jaiyebo explained that believers should not assume that everything GOD has prepared for them is immediately apparent to their natural understanding, stressing the importance of spiritual sensitivity and dependence on the HOLY SPIRIT.
He also referenced 1 Corinthians 2:11, explaining that the SPIRIT of GOD knows the things of GOD and enables believers to understand spiritual realities through His revelation.
On the need for intentional prayer, he cited 1 Corinthians 14:14, discussing the relationship between praying in tongues and understanding.
He encouraged Christians to approach prayer purposefully, maintaining their partnership with the HOLY SPIRIT while bringing their desires and aspirations before GOD with understanding.
He warned against praying haphazardly, urging participants to become deliberate about the areas in which they desire GOD’s intervention and increase.
The cleric concluded that believers must not allow circumstances to prevent them from experiencing the much more GOD has prepared for them.
He urged participants to strengthen their relationship with GOD, deepen their understanding of His Word, cultivate genuine desire and exercise their faith with intentionality, stressing that the experience of much more requires a conscious response to the power and promises of GOD.
